Exciting news my work ‘Entropic Understory’ has been selected for Salon 24 Photofusion London, which runs 9th May – 8th June 2024. It’s their first exhibition at the new premises: Photofusion Gallery Unit 2, 2 Beehive Place SW9 7QR. Photofusion Website
For the last year I have been working with 4 talented artists and Discover Bucks Museum in Aylesbury to put on a very special exhibition:
Inspired by its history and imaginative power, fracturedlandcollective artists, Lian Chan, Ellie Laycock, Jane Peacock, Ellie Reid and Caroline Thomson, look at the land from a geological, historical, social and mythological point of view. With access to the Museum’s collections, the work that they have created specifically for this exhibition encompasses themes of storytelling, the ancient past, social conflict over land, the uncertain future of climate change and the emotional power of the land itself.
On display alongside our work which includes paintings, prints, photography, sculpture and film will be objects from the collections that inspired us, including paintings by the war artist John Nash, items of crime and punishment, long-buried gold coins and rocks and fossils from the deep past.
Sam Mason, CEO of Discover Bucks Museum, says:
‘We have been delighted to work with the artists on This Fractured Land exhibition and the wonderful work they’ve created has interpreted the museum collections in exciting new ways. With themes of history and storytelling and references to the woodlands of the Chilterns this promises to be an intriguing, vibrant and thought-provoking show.’
Saturday 1st June, 10am – 12pm & Saturday 20 April, 10am – 12pm: Artist Lian Chan will lead a guided walk around Whiteleaf exploring the sites painted by John and Paul Nash and sharing how their paintings and story have influenced her work in the exhibition.
Saturday 11 May, 12pm – 1.30pm: The artists will give a panel talk followed by a guided tour of the exhibition which will be an opportunity to hear about their inspiration and themes in the exhibition.

Some exciting news, I have launched Long lost studio selling curated collections of my art and homewares. The aim of the studio being to create contemplative, tactile art and objects for the home with a low impact conscious approach. Join me for a guided photography walk through the beautiful Chiltern Woodlands near Whiteleaf, Bucks. Open to all abilities interested in practicing their photographic skills whilst enjoying the benefits of being immersed in this stunning woodland landscape. In the session we will look at the fundamentals of composition and experiment with different ways of photographing in a woodland environment.
A 2 hour round trip from Whiteleaf Cross Car Park.

Whiteleaf Floor Lamp featured in the beautiful home of Anne Tiainen-Harris @nordiclivingincolour.
The printed linen shade features a photographic artwork I created inspired by Whiteleaf Cross, a carved chalk hill figure in the Chiltern Hills. The design of the lamp was inspired by Japanese lantern with a simple slotted base made from FSC Ash.
